Hello to all my peeps!

Spring has arrived in Michigan!  Joy and I are very excited (and quite perplexed) that we can go outside with our 15 layers of clothing.  Its a welcome change.

Last week was my Brother's honor ring ceremony at HA north.  It was a fun trip with my Mom and Dad up to Minneapolis (Joy stayed in Chicago).  I stayed with my brother in the dorms and saw a few old friends,  but all in all it was a very special event for my brother.

Joy and I are thinking about moving to Virginia for a job opportunity.  I might be hired as a first officer at Dynamic Aviation.  I have an interview at the end of April so Ill keep you all updated!!

Peace.

I can almost feel spring coming right around the corner here in Michigan.  I say this as I look out the window and see snow pouring down.  Its been a long and dark winter, sometimes I don't even believe that the sun is real.

A few nights ago Joy and I were at a harp a bowl worship gathering with our home group, throughout the night we were offering new songs to the Lord.  Joy started singing about the changing of the seasons and that we have times of death and times of life.  But the Lord is always close beside us!  It was a very sweet night with the Lord.

I believe the new song that Joy sang was prophetic.  This has been a very hard season for Joy and I, especially this past week.  I have found that in situations too big to handle, it is the Lord who shows you how to be compassionate.  He shows us how to Love, offer mercy and forgiveness.  "In the place of suffering, there's a God worth worshiping"  Where Satan intends destruction, our Father intervenes and brings Redemption!!

There are new Seasons right around the corner.

Glory be to the God who saves!

I was pursuing some xangas and I came across a greeting card on my buddy Shane's site.  It was pink with some frilly lace and it stated.....

VALENTINES DAY = FORCED AFFECTION DAY

It really made me laugh.  I think I felt the sting of reality and honesty.  Would I be planning anything for Joy if it wasn't Valentines Day?   MMhhmm..... Interesting.

Whoa! Where have I been all my life!

Im alive and im here to prove it!!  last post was in June, today is February.

To update: Joy and I are still living in Grand Rapids MI, over the past 7 months I completed my instrument ticket and commercial pilots license.  I am currently working on my CFI.  Joy is studying via online courses at the University of Phoenix Arizona.

We are attending a vineyard church in North Grand Rapids and lead a home group on Wednesday nights, lots of fun.  On Monday nights Joy and I go to a marriage class called "marriage as a spiritual journey".  Wow, talk about challenging.  Marriage has been a blast up till last Christmas, when Joy and I argued over every thing you could possibly think of.  We have officially named it "the worst Christmas ever".  We have made our peace and are ready to move on.

For all the good things that God offers a couple through marriage, im finding that He doesnt give it to you on a silver plater.  Getting married was one of the best decision I could have ever made, but, HOLY COW!!  ITS HARD WORK SOMETIMES!!  Good relationships don't come with out commitment and sacrifice.  It is all so worth it.

Joy and I couldnt be happier, although sometimes I think $1,000,000 in our savings account would make me happier.  But im sure it wouldnt.

Good to be back.

Pete.

I am so thankful.

God is relational. He created relationship, community and fellowship.  Over the past 5 years I have been blessed with depth in friendship.  Teen Mania, Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and here in Grand Rapids I have found not only a body of believers but friends who really seek to dig deeper into one another.  Praise God!!!

I love Relationship!

One thing to think about while brining up friendship is this...... How you love others is how you love God.  You cant separate it, Jesus didn't.  So serve your friends and love them deeply.

Anyone remember this?  "We go to heroic lengths to meet the needs of others".  Its a good groundwork for friendship.

Peace out friends.
